Hyenas in Petticoats Productions

Founded in 2020, we're a Chicago-based independent production team with a passion for inspiring stories.

The term “Hyenas in Petticoats” was used in the early 1900s as a derogatory slur of the suffragettes who were fighting for women’s voting rights. In the same spirit, we seek to amplify voices who have historically been misrepresented, underrepresented, or excluded from film and television based on gender, race, ethnicity, LGBTQIA+, disability, age 50+, class, or body type.

Our favorite genres are historical/true drama, comedy, and rom-com. We love cheering for the underdog.
